INTRODUCING HAIL-B-GONE!
SAVE BIG ON INSURANCE DEDUCTIBLES
If you have old or new hail damage to your roof, do not call your insurance company until you talk to us. You will be pleased that you did.
Don’t Replace It – Repair It With HAIL-B-GONE
Over 97% of all residential roofs in America are covered with asphalt shingles. Each year tens of millions of tons of perfectly good asphalt shingles get tossed in the dump because other shingles on the roof had hail divots or dings in them. Homeowner Insurance and Deductibles have become huge budget busters. Deductibles of $5,000, $10,000 and more are not uncommon. The costs of replacing a roof have increased along with everything else.
WHEN SHOULD YOU CONSIDER A HAIL-B-GONE INSPECTION?
- If you know that your neighborhood has experienced large enough and hard enough hail that it could have been damaging. Hail as small as one-half inch can be damaging.
- Suppose you know that your roof has been damaged by hail in the past. HAIL-B-GONE works just as well on old damage as it does on recent damage.
- If you are considering selling your house, have us inspect your roof before you put it on the market. The first place a home inspector, hired by the buyer, will go is the roof. Finding what he or she believes is hail damage, they will often recommend a roof replacement. The concerned prospective buyer, taking the home inspector’s word for it will make a new roof a requirement of the sale. Often unnecessary and a huge waste of money. We have done the HAIL-B-GONE process on scores of homes prior to them being offered for sale. Not once has a home inspector found damage that they attributed to hail or suggested that the roof be replaced.
- If you see two or three of your neighbors getting new roofs but have no idea why.
- If it has been several years since you’ve had your roof inspected.
The Right Product at the Right Time
After years of research and testing, the Jack Caton Roofing Team has developed the HAIL-B-GONE hail patching process that repairs asphalt shingles that have been damaged by hail, wind, foot traffic, and mechanical issues such as ladders and tools. Every injury to an asphalt shingle that displaces the protective granules may eventually turn into a leak. When the layer of granules is dislodged and the asphalt below it is broken, the elements immediately begin to erode and enlarge it. Intense ultraviolet rays, wind, thawing and melting snow and ice that expand the hole will eventually cause a leak.
There had to be a way to repair extensive hail damage effectively and affordably that didn’t involve an insurance claim and deductible. We did years of research and tested numerous products and approaches to a solution. After widespread searching and extensive testing, we found the right special mixture formulated specifically to preserve asphalt shingles.

SAVING MONEY ALL AROUND
The cost of replacing an average-sized roof in southern Colorado is about $15,000. When hail damages 100 roofs to the extent that they need to be replaced, the cumulative cost, after deductibles, is a little over $1million. Not a horrible amount. But if a thousand roofs are replaced, it can come to $10 million or more. There were over 6,000 reports of damage to insurance companies in the June 2023 Briargate hailstorm in Colorado Springs. The property damage far exceeded $100 million when damage to windows, gutters, siding, patios, and fences is included. The cost to insurance companies and homeowners was enormous. Some insurance companies are leaving southern Colorado because of the cost of hailstorms. We believe that over the next ten years, HAIL-B-GONE could save insurance companies and property owners $500 million. Hopefully, the savings in reduced claims will result in savings on premiums. Fewer claims should at least result in lessening the rate of premium increases.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?

THE HAIL-B-GONE ROOF REPLACEMENT BONUS GUARANTEE
If, within 5 years of having the HAIL-B-GONE process done on their roof, a homeowner must replace their roof for any reason, Jack Caton Roofing will refund the full amount that was paid for the HAIL-B-GONE process, provided Jack Caton Roofing is selected to re-roof the property. This and our labor and material warranties are fully transferable, and the refund in exchange for getting the re-roofing job is paid to the then-current owner of the property. This is a refund for work done and should not be construed in any way as the contractor paying or waiving any portion of the property owner’s deductible. Now that is a Win-Win-Win proposition.
HAIL-B-GONE IS NOT A SPRAY-ON PRODUCT
Each patch is performed individually by a technician especially trained to do the work in a neat and clean, professional manner. The patch is fireproof, it is transparent, doesn’t streak or discolor the roof. The process involves no machines, it is quiet. There is no trash or debris, and it can be performed 12 months a year.
HOW DOES IT AFFECT YOUR INSURANCE?
The HAIL-B-GONE roof patching process was created to eliminate the need to involve your insurance company. They see it as no different from replacing a shingle that has blown off the roof. It is a non-issue and considerably more beneficial to your roof than replacing a damaged shingle. When we replace a damaged shingle, we move the shingles above and to the sides, disturbing the seal between the shingles, making them very vulnerable to the wind. If an insurance company can get away without paying for a new roof, do you think they will object? Not a chance.
WHAT ABOUT THE ROOF WARRANTY?
The warranty on your roof only covers wind in excess of 13 miles per hour and manufacturer’s defects. If strong winds tear your roof off, the warranty will still be in force, although we suspect that the HAIL-B-GONE patch may still be on your roof because it is so strong.

HAIL-B-GONE!
Before & After
The HAIL-B-GONE process uses a specially formulated adhesive designed specifically for asphalt shingles. Our trained technicians infuse the proper amount of the adhesive into the hole that mixes with the undamaged asphalt to secure the bond, then applies granules that match the color of the roof being repaired to create a long lasting, nearly invisible patch that is guaranteed to prevent leaking or deterioration for 5-years.
Almost Invisible – Repaired Like New
After months of evaluating the formula with asphalt shingle granules, we developed a process that creates an almost invisible patch for damaged shingles and finally found the ideal “adhesive” HAIL-B-GONE returns damaged asphalt shingles to like new or even better condition, prior to the damage. After repair, the patched area and nearby surfaces are as strong as or stronger than before the damage.
HAIL-B-GONE is the brainchild of Jack Caton Roofing. We are the only roofing company in town or the state, for that matter, with the technology to perform the HAIL-B-GONE patching process. HAIL-BE-GONE is smart and is saving homeowners thousands of dollars in deductibles and insurance premiums.
